OTM supported Watt Savers to nudge and compel people to take action and reduce energy consumption.

Watt Savers is a federally funded program aimed at empowering small to medium enterprises (SME) and community organisations to take action and make informed decisions about energy efficiency. 

Developed and implemented by CitySmart, Brisbane City Council’s sustainability agency, the program is designed to help SMEs understand their energy use, quantify energy savings opportunities and take action to reduce energy costs.

Effecting behavioural change: Changing people’s entrenched behaviour is not an easy task – it is necessary to ensure messages are well constructed at every step.

OTM was involved in the early stages of the Watt Savers outreach program writing and sequencing email communications, conducting website user experience reviews and working with corporate partners to coordinate educational workshops.

As SMEs began to see results, OTM was also engaged to create success stories for SMEs such as Queensland Theatre Company and Berwicks.
